The Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio (WDBCO) is a Non-Profit Organization. WDBCO’s mission is to partner with area businesses and organizations on workforce needs so that people are fully employed at their ability and potential in the thriving Central Ohio economy.
WDBCO leads strategy and management of the OhioMeansJobs Columbus-Franklin County Job Center (OMJCFC) located at 1111 East Broad Street in the Jerry Hammond Building. OMJCFC provides OMJ business and job seeker services and collaborates with dozens of non-profit community providers to enhance service offerings.
WDBCO has a 27-member board of private, public, and non-profit professionals, The Mayor of Columbus and Franklin County Board of Commissioners appoint 1/3 of the board members each. The Board is charged with ensuring programs and initiatives are aligned with the overall workforce development plan on a local, state, and national level. Click here to learn more about our Board.
